2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services or attend events unless otherwise explicitly permitted by Friends of Medicine in writing.
3. Event Registration, Tickets, and Payments
A. Ticket Purchases
Ticket purchases are processed through third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). You agree to provide accurate payment and registration information.
B. No Guarantee of Attendance or Outcomes
Friends of Medicine is a networking and events company. Attendance, introductions, results, professional success, sponsorship success, or business outcomes are not guaranteed.
4. Refunds, Transfers, and Event Changes
A. No Refund Policy (Standard Protective Position) All ticket sales are final unless otherwise stated in writing. B. Rescheduling/Cancellation We reserve the right to: • reschedule events • change venue/location • modify speaker lineup • cancel events If we cancel an event, we may issue a credit, transfer, or refund at our discretion depending on circumstances and processor rules. C. Transfers Tickets may be transferable only if approved in writing by Friends of Medicine LLC.5. Event Conduct & Community Standards
You agree to behave professionally at all events. We may refuse entry or remove any participant without refund for:
• disruptive conduct
• harassment
• illegal behavior
• intoxication/unsafe behavior
• violation of venue rules
• actions damaging to the community or brand
6. Sponsorship Terms (General)
Sponsorship packages and deliverables vary by event/city. Sponsorship agreements may be finalized via email, form submission, invoice, or written contract.
Friends of Medicine LLC reserves the right to:
• reject sponsorship applicants
• limit sponsor categories
• restrict competitor sponsors
• edit promotional placements to maintain brand quality
7. Photo / Video / Media Release (IMPORTANT)
By attending any Friends of Medicine event, you acknowledge and agree that:
1. You may be photographed, filmed, or recorded.
2. You grant Friends of Medicine LLC an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right and license to use your name, likeness, image, voice, and/or appearance in:
• advertisements
• promotional materials
• social media
• website content
• sponsor promotional materials
• future events
3. You waive any claims for compensation, royalties, or ownership in the content.
If you do not wish to be recorded, you must notify us in writing prior to the event at info@friendsofmed.com; we will make reasonable efforts but cannot guarantee exclusion.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, trademarks, logos, graphics, workflows, event frameworks, scripts, automation structures, and materials used in the Services are owned by Friends of Medicine LLC or licensed to us.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit our content without written permission.
9. Disclaimer (No Medical Advice)
Friends of Medicine is not providing medical advice. Any educational content, wellness vendors, or discussions at events are informational only and do not establish a physician-patient relationship.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• Friends of Medicine LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive damages.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific event/service.
11. Assumption of Risk
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending events, including but not limited to:
• personal injury
• illness exposure
• property loss
• interactions with third parties
• venue-related risks
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Friends of Medicine LLC and its managers, employees, contractors, partners, venues, and affiliates against claims arising from:
• your attendance
• your conduct
• your violation of these Terms
• your interactions with other attendees
13. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any disputes shall be brought exclusively in Miami-Dade County, Florida, unless otherwise required by law.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted with a new Effective Date. Continued use means acceptance.
