Terms of Service

The terms that govern your access to and use of Friends of Medicine.

Last updated: May 23, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of friendsofmed.com, our events, our communications, and any other programs operated by Friends of Medicine, LLC ("Friends of Medicine," "FOM," "we," or "us"). By accessing the website, submitting any form, attending any event, or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Eligibility

Friends of Medicine is intended for adult healthcare professionals, business operators, and aligned individuals. By using our website or services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Membership in The Network is further limited to individuals who meet our criteria as determined by Friends of Medicine in our sole discretion. Eligibility for any particular tier, event, or program is at our discretion.

2. Membership applications and discretion

Submission of an inquiry, application, or any other form is not a guarantee of acceptance into Friends of Medicine or The Network. We reserve the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to accept or decline any application for any reason, and to revoke acceptance at any time. We are not obligated to provide reasons for any decision regarding membership, application, or revocation.

Acceptance into any tier of The Network, including the free Member tier and the paid Inner Circle tier, is a privilege and not a right. Continued participation is subject to ongoing compliance with these Terms and any policies we publish or communicate.

3. Event tickets, attendance, and refunds

Event tickets are sold through our authorized ticketing partner (currently Ticket Tailor). All ticket sales are subject to the ticketing partner's terms in addition to these Terms.

Unless otherwise stated for a specific event:

  • Tickets are non-refundable
  • Tickets may be transferred to another eligible attendee with our prior approval
  • If we cancel or postpone an event, we will offer either a credit toward a future event or a refund, at our discretion
  • We reserve the right to deny entry or remove any attendee for any violation of these Terms, our Code of Conduct, or applicable law

Certain events, including Founders Friday and Inner Circle gatherings, are invitation-only or application-only. Possession of a ticket or invitation does not guarantee entry if eligibility cannot be verified.

4. Conduct at events and in The Network

Friends of Medicine is built on respect, restraint, and intentional connection. We expect all attendees, Members, and Inner Circle participants to:

  • Treat fellow attendees, hosts, partners, and staff with respect at all times
  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or behavior that creates an unsafe or unwelcoming environment
  • Refrain from soliciting business or selling services in ways that violate the spirit of the gathering
  • Honor the confidentiality of conversations had within The Network (see Section 5)
  • Comply with venue rules, applicable laws, and any specific guidance provided for an event

We reserve the right to remove any individual from an event, suspend access to The Network, and revoke membership for any violation of these standards.

5. Confidentiality

Conversations at Friends of Medicine events and within The Network are intended to be private and candid. By attending or participating, you agree that information shared by other attendees, Members, or Inner Circle participants - including personal details, business information, opinions, and observations - is to be treated as confidential and is not to be republished, recorded, quoted, or attributed without the express consent of the person who shared it.

This obligation extends to physical and digital settings, including events, the Portal, group communications, and private exchanges between Members.

6. Intellectual property

The Friends of Medicine name, logo, the phrase "The Network," "The Portal," "Inner Circle," "Behind the Scrubs," "The Reset Retreat," and all related names, marks, designs, photography, video, audio, written content, and event recordings are the property of Friends of Medicine, LLC or our licensors, and are protected by trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or otherwise exploit our content without our prior written permission. Personal, non-commercial use of the website for its intended purpose is permitted.

7. User conduct on the website

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or professional credentials
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form
  • Use the website to send unsolicited communications or attempt to harvest information about other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website, our systems, or any related accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the website or its supporting infrastructure
  • Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the website without our express permission
  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose

8. Inner Circle dues and billing

Inner Circle is the paid tier of Friends of Medicine. Acceptance into Inner Circle requires an application and our approval. Inner Circle membership is subject to annual dues, the current rates of which are communicated to applicants and renewing members.

  • Annual dues are billed in advance and are non-refundable
  • Membership renews annually unless cancelled in writing before the renewal date
  • Failure to pay dues by the due date may result in suspension or termination of Inner Circle benefits
  • We may adjust pricing for future periods with reasonable advance notice
  • Founding rate members are honored at their original rate for as long as their membership remains continuous

9. Disclaimers

The website and our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, availability, or completeness of our content or services.

Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, or investment advice. Content shared by Friends of Medicine, by speakers at our events, by guests on the Behind the Scrubs podcast, or by Members in The Portal is for general information and discussion only. You should not act on any such content without first consulting an appropriately licensed professional.

Friends of Medicine does not endorse, vouch for, or guarantee the professional credentials, conduct, or representations of any individual Member, Inner Circle participant, sponsor, partner, or third party. 10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Friends of Medicine, LLC, our officers, members, employees, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or reputation, arising out of or related to your use of the website, your participation in our events or programs, or any interaction with another Member or third party.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Friends of Medicine in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Friends of Medicine, LLC and our officers, members, employees, contractors, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, or (c) your conduct at any Friends of Medicine event or within The Network.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website, your membership, your Inner Circle participation, or any other service we provide, at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms cease immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination - including intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law - will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or business. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the website or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the website or our services after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
